The Genreal Butler

 

Schooner General Butler was lost in the Georges fishery, in June 1868.
Supposed to have been run down. Had a crew of ten men, as follows:

Sereno W. Campbell, master
Frank Brown
James Sherman
David Lane, Jr.
Edward Duncan
Joseph Hobbs
Waitsell Nickerson
George Oram

and two others, names unknown.

Owned by D. C. & H. Babson, Jr. Valued at $6,000; insured for $5,250.
