The Light of Home

 

Sch. Light of Home sailed for George's March 15th 1864.
Her crew list comprised the following persons:

Thomas J. Moody, master, leaves a widow
Simeon Moody, his brother
John Bnote
William Frazier
James Quirk
Francis Dousett, leaves a widow
George Barbour, leaves a widow and two children
James Duyer, leaves a widow
John Smith, leaves three orphan children, his wife having died since his leaving port

The Light of Home was 82 tons burthen, owned by Messrs. Epes Sayward & Son, and built at Essex in 1859. She was valued with her outfits at $6000, and insured at the Gloucester Mutual Fishing Insurance Office for $4,375.
