[Additional information provided October 1997 by Annabel Bixby great-grandaughter of Felix DeCoste.

"My great-grandfather was Felix DeCoste. He was from Arichat in Nova Scotia. He drowned in the sinking of the schooner "James S. Shute". He was 31 years old at the time, having been born in 1845 and he left a widow, a 6 yr old son and a 2 yr. old daughter who was my grandmother. "
