The Carrie S. Dagle

 

Sch. Carrie S. Dagle sailed from Western Bank March 15, 1881 and was last seen on the Bank April 13, leaking badly, two days previous to a heavy gale. 74.53 tons, built at Essex in 1865. Owned by Messrs. Wm. Parsons, 2nd & Co.
She had a crew of twelve men as follows:

Richard Richardson, about forty, left a widow and children in Chester, N. S.
John F. Deveau, 33, left widow and four children in Nova Scotia
C. A. Bergman, a Swede, left a widow
Jeffrey Bushey, of Arichat, C. B.
Thomas Milford, of Chester, N. S.
Edward Jedry, of Nova Scotia
John McDonald,
of Nova Scotia
Asabel Landro,
of Nova Scotia
George W. Kinch,
of Nova Scotia

of Nova Scotia
Hugh York,
a native of Sweden
