17th - Lawrence Chevette, 54, single, native of France, lost from sch. Morning Star.


April

17th - Jose Pedro dos Santos, 34, single, native of the Western Islands, lost from sch. Flora L. Oliver.


May

19th - Frank Depaquar, 30, married, lost from sch. Catherine C.


June

28th - Lee Parish, 53, single, native of Maine, lost from sch. Helen B. Thomas.


August

23rd - Sch. Francis A. lost off Sable Island in a collision; six men lost.
Walter Brown, 28, single, native of Nova Scotia, and Edmund Muise, 32, single, native of Belleville, Nova Scotia, were lost from sch. Ethel B. Penney.


October

23rd - Thomas Scott, 35, single, native of Nova Scotia, lost from sch. Athens


November

7th - Four men  were killed by an explosion in New York harbor on sch. Gleaner.


December

16th - Simon Goodwin, 50, married, native of Guysboro, lost on sch. Bay State.

17th - Two men were lost from sch. Benjamin A. Smith when they went astray in  a dory off Liscomb,  Nova Scotia.
